SAFETY

Ever since mobile phones have become popular there have always been concerns about the safety aspects of using them.

Mobile phones use radio waves in order to commuicate with base stations.  These radio waves give off a certain amount of radiation.  It is still unclear if these low amounts of radiation are detrimental to our health or not.

As researchers are still debating many of these safety concerns, there a few sensible things that you can do to reduce any possible risk to you health, whilst using a mobile phone:

1. Choose a mobile phone with a long talk-time.  The longer the talk-time on the mobile phone the more power efficient it is, meaning that it will give of less radiation.
2.  When using the handset to your ear try to keep calls short.
3.  If using your mobile phone for extended periods of time, try to always use a hands-free accessory, such as a bluetooth headset.
4.  When driving always use a hands-free accessory.  It's not only dangerous to use your phone without one, it's also illegal!
5.  Try to stow your mobile phone away from your body when it is in standby mode.

It's always better to be safe than sorry
